We notify application procedure for credit recognition which recognizes the credit earned from the previous graduate school. Students who want to apply for credit recognition must hand in the required documents within the designated period as below.
A. Required documents
1) Application form of Credit Recognition earned from other graduate school prior to admission[attached file]
2) Official report card from other graduate school
3) An evidential material to prove equivalent major, course (syllabus of major, course, etc. )
4) In case of foreign university, evidential material to confirm the lecture time(Course timetable, etc.)
B. Application Period + How to Apply
1) Application Period: February 24th ~ March 28th

C. Principle of Recognition: Students who entered after Fall 2019
1) Criteria: Only major subject credits earned from other graduate schools prior to admission with A0 or higher grade
※ According to graduate schools credit system, A-, A0 and A+ all recognized.
2) Credit will not be granted for prior school completed more than 3 years ago.
3) Submission Criteria: application submitted within two semester after admission is only approved

D. Procedure of Credit Recognition
1) Procedure: recommendation from advisory prof. → recommendation from chief major prof.
→ approval of UST president
2) Result Announcement: April 7th~
E. Notes
1) If the courses are granted for credit recognition, the name of the graduate school, name of the courses, and credits will be marked in the report card. However, the grade would not be counted for GPA (Grade Percentage Average).
2) If you have already taken the courses with identical names or similar contents in UST, it cannot be allowed for credit recognition that are earned from the previous graduate school.
