Introduce

The Construction Environment (Engineering CEE) division of UST was founded by the environmental division of the Korea Institute of Construction (Technology KICT). The offered academic majors consist of advanced wastewater treatment, advanced drinking water treatment, system engineering of water and wastewater, solid waste management, contaminated soil and underground water treatment, rainwater use, non-point source management, water body management et al., covering the whole field of environment engineering and water resources. Lectures in the major subject are combine fundamental theory and field studies through pilot plants prepared for research projects. The students in process of studying for their MA and Ph.D. degrees will take part in national research and development projects with highly creative technology at world-class level students may be awarded a degree from the products of their research projects. CEE admission is open to students who have completed science and engineering courses such as Civil Engineering. Environment Engineering, biology, geology, chemistry, polymerics and inorganic materials.

Construction Environment Engineering Construction Environment Engineering covers the whole field of environmental engineering and water resources such as advanced wastewater treatment, advanced drinking water treatment, disposal and recycling of waste, contaminated soil and underground water restoration, watershed environmental management. Study progress in each subject combines lectures about fundamental theory with field studies through pilot plants prepared for research projects.
Geotechnical & Geo-Space Engineering Geotechnical & Geo-Space Engineering provides an academic curriculum for real-scale fundamental studies and geotechnical applications to characterize mechanical behavior of the ground. On this basis, we will develop technologies in order to optimize the narrow nations’s land use and deal with geotechnical engineering technologies with extreme and futuristic conditions such as earthquake and space.
Urban & Transportation System Engineering Urban and Transportation System Engineering mainly focuses on theory and technology for mobility and safety essential to SmartCity, planning, construction and evaluation of national transportation system, service design, operation, profit management, and maintenance. In addition, diverse research facilities can be used to conduct all relevant education about cutting-edge technologies and application of urban and transportation.
