기능유전체학, 단백체 구조생물학, 생명정보학, 생체분자과학 등 4개의 세부전공으로 구성되어 있으며, 오믹스 기반 생명현상 이해 및 생체 내 신호전달 기술 습득 등을 통해 제4차 산업혁명 시대를 선도할 핵심인력 양성을 목표로 하고 있다.

세부 전공명 전공내용
기능유전체학 기능유전체학은 유전자 기능규명에 필요한 제반기술을 습득하고 이를 활용함으로 생명체의 발생/분화 원리를 파악하고 다양한 인체질환과 연관된 유전자의 기전 규명하여 미래의학 실현에 기여한다.
생명정보학 생명정보학(Bioinformatics, 생물정보학)은 다양한 분야의 지식을 융합하여 대용량 정보를 효율적으로 다룰 수 있는 지식을 연마하는 학문으로 향후 생명과학은 물론 정보 기반의 개인유전체 및 맞춤의료 시대의 핵심 연구분야이다.
생체분자과학 생체분자과학은 인간의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 질환 치료제 및 진단법 개발을 위해 생물학과 화학의 통합적 이해에 기초하여 생체분자를 연구하는 분야로, 의약품(화합물/단백질의약품/천연물의약품 등) 및 진단법 개발 분야의 전문가를 양성한다.
단백체구조생물학 단백체 구조생물학은 단백체학과 구조생물학을 기반으로 분자 구조 규명에 필요한 첨단 생물학 분석기술을 습득하고, 다학제 간 연구를 통해 단백체 구조생물학 분야의 전문인력을 양성하고자 한다.
